Eleftheria Deko LIGHTING DESIGNER (Greece) Assistant Professor at the Theatre Department of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki teaching Stage Lighting. After her post graduate studies in NYU in Stage Lighting Designing as well as in Performance and Choreography she returned to Greece in 1992 to collaborate with most Greek theater companies and directors. She has designed the lighting for more than 450 plays, music and dance performances, operas, multimedia shows, art installations, seasonal events and exhibitions. She has received great reviews and awards for her work including the Woman Artist of the Year 2009 for her contribution to the Arts. She has also worked as a lighting designer for several International festivals and has taught Stage Lighting designing at New York University (1990-91). A significant moment in her career has been her participation in the Olympic Games Athens 2004 as the Lighting Designer and Director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. For the Opening she has been awarded an EMMY award by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at the 2004-2005 Primetime Emmy awards in L.A.. Since 2000 she is working also in Architectural Lighting. Having founded the Eleftheria Deko Lighting + Design company, she and her associates have designed the lighting for numerous public and private spaces in Greece and abroad. Her lighting has been described as “a minimal artistic statement respecting and highlighting the architecture with light and color playing the key role”. Not only the aesthetic aspect of lighting but also the quality use of light and energy efficiency are key elements to her designs. A member of the ILA (International Light Association) since 2007 she is in an ongoing study and research about the therapeutic qualities of Light which she promotes for public awareness.

PARKOTECHNIKI (Greece) has been operating in Greece since 1998, producing playground equipment for amusement parks, urban and sub-urban furniture and sports equipment. Develops projects and plans highlighting every special feature of each given urban landscape and natural environment. Nikos C. Barkas (Greece) Professor in Building Technology and Architectural Acoustics, Architecture Department, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh). President of the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA). Dr. Civil Engineer DUTh (PhD title: Greek Ancient Theatre: Design and Function). The PhD thesis was granted with a two year full scholarship from the Greek National Foundation of Scholarships. Master in Acoustics from the LeMans University, France (Master research in IRCAM, Paris; thesis title: Criteria for the Acoustic Evaluation of Concert Halls).Higher studies on piano and music theory at the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki. Research interests: Contemporary reuse of ancient theatres – theatre and acoustic design – open air sound protection – building acoustics – applications of building technology. Publications: Editor of two (2) scientific conference proceedings, author of fifty two (52) papers in scientific journals and congress proceedings. Research: Participation in six (6) research programs (scientific responsible / consultant / researcher). Professional Activity: Acoustic designer in thirty nine (39) projects concerning theatres, concert halls, and sixteen (16) sound insulation in big scale public buildings. Acoustic consultant in nine (9) projects of big scale public buildings; study evaluation and technical supervising.
Ilias Venesis (Greece) is an Architect Engineer, Auth 2009 , with postgraduate studies in Landscape Architecture , Auth 2011. He has participated in many architectural competition, while he was working in architectural offices in the period 2003-2011. He is one of the founders of UbuPlan architecture firm based in Thessaloniki.
Thanos Oikonomou (Greece) Architect, graduate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of Plymouth. From 2006 he is working as independent architect . In 2009 he created Riverside Architecture in Trikala,Greece and from 2014 he is working in Ubu Plan , an architecture firm based in Thessaloniki.
