REGISTRATION GUIDELINES / TERMS & CONDITIONS

STUDENT STATUS

Students are graduate and/or undergraduate registered in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Design, Landscape Architecture, and other disciplines, and Ph.D. students.  

 

YOUNG / ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL STATUS

Professionals in Architecture, Design, Engineering, Landscape Architecture and professionals of other disciplines, who are not enrolled in an academic program.

 

CHOOSE YOUR WORKSHOP

Choose THREE (3) Workshop choices in the order of preference (first is your favorite). Mark the NUMBER (W) of the workshop and the NAME of one workshop leader (if available). For more information visit the ECOWEEK WORKSHOPS webpage. Assigning workshops is based on a first-come-first-serve basis. When a workshop is full, you will be assigned to your second (or third) choice. EARLY BIRDS are notified first to choose a workshop from the available workshops. In principle, the vast majority of registrations, are assigned to their first choice of workshop. Travel to and/from your workshop is your own responsibility.

 

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORTATION

Accommodation & Transporation are NOT INCLUDED in ECOWEEK registration.

ECOWEEK does not handle and is not responsible for participants’ accommodation and transportation arrangements. Suggestions on hotels, hostels, and/or low-cost accommodation may be occasionally posted in ECOWEEK social media. Participants are expected to make their own bookings.    

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation of Registration should be made in writing to ECOWEEK. Please write to ecoweek[at]ecoweek.org. Cancellation written request received up to 30 days before the opening date of the conference will receive 50% of Registration fees paid (with the deduction of any bank transfer fees charged to ECOWEEK). For cancellations less than 30 days prior to the opening date of the conference, no refund will be made. EARLY Registration is non-refundable.

COPYRIGHT

With your registration to ECOWEEK you agree that this is a collective activity where you contribute your share in the common project. Therefore you accept that ECOWEEK can publish and promote your workshop project at its discretion. Participants can include the ECOWEEK project in their private portfolio and get credit for it. However, it has to mention explicitly that this work ‘was performed during ECOWEEK’. The copyright to the collective work remains with ECOWEEK.

 

SECURITY & RESPONSIBILITY

ECOWEEK hosts its events in venues that are accessible, healthy and safe. Work indoors or outdoors and travel between, to and/or from ECOWEEK events is the responsibility of each participant. As an ECOWEEK participant you are advised and encouraged to purchase privately a TRAVEL AND HEALTH INSURANCE that will cover you in the unlikely event of injury or loss of property while in indoor or outdoor activity. With your registration to ECOWEEK, you agree that ECOWEEK, its organizers, staff, invited professionals and guests, have no responsibility for injury or death or damage or loss, damage or theft of private property during ECOWEEK events and in ECOWEEK related venues and activities.

 

In particular for workshops involving indoor or outdoor activity, site visits and/or light construction or physical work: as an ECOWEEK participant, with your participation in these workshops, you agree that you are choosing this activity at your own risk and responsibility, that you take full and sole responsibility for yourself and your private belongings and property, your security and health, and that you waive any claim for responsibility or compensation from ECOWEEK, its legal representatives, staff, assistants, associates, volunteers, partners, the workshop leaders and any other legal entity directly or indirectly involved in the organization and implementation of ECOWEEK events and activities.
