ECOWEEK is a collaboration of ECOWEEK with 92Y in New York since 2016. The 7 DAYS OF GENIUS project took place in 2016 and 2017. The event takes place on March 5-12 each year, and it is a major week-long inquiry into the idea of genius: what it is, how it impacts, why it matters and how it can be for public good. The festival includes stage events at 92Y in
New York City with guests like Brian Greene, Malcolm Gladwell and Walter Issaacson. Events hosted by partner organizations, and a strong digital and broadcast component through partnerships with leading outlets, including MSNBC, and National Geographic. A major part of the festival is the satellite events organized with partner organizations, including MIT, Skirball Center in LA, Georgetown University, ECOWEEK and many others. Internationally, events will take place with partners in Greece, Israel, Romania, Kenya, Sierra Leone, England, Germany and Nepal. The ECOWEEK GENIUS events are an opportunity to share ideas, to inspire, to connect with creative people, to learn from each other and from the experts, to network and cooperate for (positive) change.
